Case in point: Avril Lavigne on the cover of Maxim.

At first glance Avril looks good, or appropriate for the cover of Maxim anyway. But then you catch of a glimpse of her right arm. In attempts to give Ms. Lavigne a slimmer waist some designer mutilated her arm. Trying to perfect a cover image is justifiable, but publishing a mistake this obvious is definitely not.
Please Photoshop responsibly.
As if Avril Lavigne isn't skinny enough??? This is so wrong on so many levels--you would think after Kate Winslet raised a stink about herself being photoshopped skinnier on a cover that this would have stopped by now (the photoshop diet, that is). Not only is this poor photo-editing it's a poor message to women and especially young girls.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! That's why certain countries are fighting for warning labels on Photoshopped images. Thinking of young girls seeing magazines covers like this, I can't say I'm opposed.
