Bomb It

Bomb It is a documentary that explores modern graffiti. The film examines how graffiti rose to popularity and how it has evolved in different cities around the world.

What was most interesting about the graffiti artists portrayed in the movie is how easily they can transform a space. By using shapes, shading and amazing typography they can make a flat surface completely come to life. Here are a few still photos from the film:

These artists know how to give simple planes incredible depth and keep viewers' eyes moving. Such important skills apply to graphic design too. Remember that having limited space doesn't mean you can't think outside of the box.

  1. I love all unconventional art, especially graffiti art, even though it is negatively viewed as an unaccepted art form. As graffiti has evolved...from tagging to reverse graffiti-it is being used in a more conventional format that people are beginning to accept. Example: Clorox uses as ad. As any other art for, graffiti is art, which I think is more creative than most.
