More Fun With Photoshop

It's now expected that magazine cover girls are airbrushed in Photoshop to look younger and thinner, but when does retouching in Photoshop go too far?

Jezebel recently posted an image of actress Megan Fox and exposed all of the changes that were made to the photograph in Photoshop before it hit magazine stands. Before gracing the pages of InStyle, the young beauty's eye color, skin tone, pores, veins, chin and hair were altered.

Apparently, celebrities don't even meet magazines' standards these days.

  1. I interned at Baltimore Magazine back in college and I remember one of my first days there I saw a cover design all marked up with red circles everywhere noting what needed to be "fixed." It's pretty crazy what gets done to models/celebs! No wonder there are so many issues with body image in America!

  2. I recently saw an episode of Oprah where she interviewed Cybil Shepard on what it was like to be an "aging beauty". She commented that back in the 70's when she was on covers of Seventeen and whatnot, she felt a disconnect between herself and the pictures because she didn't really look like the finished re-touched product, but felt like she had to. Even the cover models are having issues with their image!
